Nonpolarizing electrodes are mainly used in following geoelectrical applications:
- Induced polarization
- Spontaneous potentials
- Downtown measurements
By means of electrodes, potentials generated by electrochemical action between electrode and ground are eliminated, in order to reduce contact resistance.
- DC potential: a few mV (shortly after manufacturing)
- Surface of the bottom: about 7 cm2
- Diameter (D): 30 mm
- Height (H): 50 mm
This type advised usually for laboratory measurements.
