The permanent holding magnet GMP operates to the closed circuit principle. It is equipped with an integrated permanent magnet, therefore it permanently attracts ferromagnetic counterparts. When supply voltage is applied with the correct polarity, an integrated coil compensates the magnetic field of the permanent magnet until only a low residual force is effective. The fixed counterpart is released.
