Description

DESCRIPTION Linear current-carrying conductors can be the cause, or be affected by, electromagnetic interference. Twisted pair cable has been widely used and is superior to parallel conductors, but is of limited effectiveness in reducing electromagnetic radiation and cross-talk. INTER-8® weave cable is designed with a unique weave pattern to help in sensitive applications and applications where multiple cables are running parallel to each other in conduit or cable trays. The non-parallel wire pattern provides substantial improvement over the performance of a conventional twisted pair. INTER-8® weave cable consists of four separate conductors braided into interlocking loops and is a field-proven design of Magnetic Shield Corporation. We Offer Four Types of Cable Our basic INTER-8® weave cable is unshielded. It is available with PVC insulation, or ETFE high temperature/high corrosion resistive insulation, both rated to 600 Volts. INTER-8® is also available with an added outer braided shield, made of Magnetic Shield Corporation’s proprietary Co-NETIC® AA high permeability wire; added to provide ultimate magnetic shielding. Shielded options are covered with an outer Jacket made of PVC or ETFE. If multiple cables are required to run parallel, we recommend use of our basic INTER-8® weave cable routed inside either our AA CABLE SHIELD® or SPIRA-SHIELD Flexible Conduit. Co-NETIC® wire meets military specification MIL-N-14411, Comp 1.
