Hot plate MuMETAL®

DESCRIPTION MuMETAL® is our most widely known brand, yet Magnetic Shield Corporation offers several other alloys which are used for similar, but different applications. MuMETAL® Stress Annealed sheet is used primarily in low intensity fields where high attenuation is desired (high initial permeability & high shielding efficiency). MuMETAL® alloy is available in many forms, but most shields are fabricated from either our plate, sheet or coil stock. Our supply is stocked in select gauges; sheet in gauges 0.014" to 0.080" thickness [0,36 mm to 2,00 mm], plate in gauges from 0.098" to 0.197" thickness [2,5 mm to 5,0 mm], and coil in gauges from .002" to .031" thickness [0,051 mm to 0,79 mm]. Available as soft temper annealed for ease of forming and machinability, MuMETAL® Stress Annealed Plate is used for fabricated shields such as enclosures, cylinders, cans, channels or 3D boxes. Typically, atmospherically controlled Perfection Annealing is required after stamping, machining, bending, rolling or welding to provide maximum shielding performance. Conforms to ASTM A753 Alloy 4, and MIL-N-14411C Comp 1. Shearing or Blanking Services: Stock plate and sheet may be sheared to smaller blanks per your request.
