The AC current band monitoring relays in the CBA series are often used for applications such as detecting under and overcurrent conditions, which could potentially influence the continuous operation of pumps, motor and various other critical machinery in the industry. When the monitored current is within the normal current band, both internal relays suffer from de-energizing. In addition, when the current is risen above the over current setting for more than one second, the over current relay is energized. Note that if the current falls below the under current setting for a time period longer than a second, the undercurrent energizes. By the time the current being monitored returns to normal, the relays will reset automatically. Finally, the trip points for over and undercurrent are adjustable independently, while operators can use an external CT to extend the range of the current monitor.
