Description

The MB-System 438 stands for maximum productivity. It has been designed for reading, accumulating and folding personalized mail and stands out for its compact design and simple operation. The documents are either fed by means of a shingling pre-loader or a bulk loader with high stacking capacity. The data are matched with a read system that is integrated in the suction feeder. All standard optical codes such as OCR- or OMR, bar code or Datamatrix code can be handled. Before folding, the accumulator assembles a defined, variable number of sheets, which has been determined by means of code reading or a batch counter. The accumulator distinguishes itself through its reliable processing of different numbers of sheets with the same roller setting. It is possible to replenish the paper stack from above or from below. The MB-System 438 utilizes the successful fold unit multimaster 38 with four fold plates to ensure a high flexibility when choosing the type of fold. Due to its modular design and wide range of accessories, the fold unit can be adapted to individual requirements. The timed conveyor after the fold unit ensures reliable loading of a downstream inserting system. By means of an open interface the MB-System 438 can be connected to inserting systems from other manufacturers for data transmission.
