For optimum security in building automation The innovative Secure Connect (SC) security infrastructure of the BACnet cross-manufacturer communication standard is now supported by our Universal-BACnet-Router UBR-02. This tried-and-tested network router still has every feature our customers value. With BACnet/SC based on Revision 22, users get a new configuration that makes it easier for property operators to switch to greater system security. Equipped for the switch The new BACnet/SC data link layer has been added to the device. Its web interface was especially adapted for this purpose and now features a different structure that includes additional pages for protected communication – e.g. for data exchange between individual devices, for encryption and for the necessary certificates. The previous features are still available to ensure that data can still be routed with BACnet MS/TP, BACnet/IP and BACnet Ethernet. The product now contains the current BACnet Revision 22, which itself includes standards for establishing secure building automation. It is also backwards compatible, meaning that the BACnet equipment already installed in an automation system can communicate with the new Universal BACnet Router. This ensures both sustainability and innovation security.
