Recording logging information and finding errors: UBR-CAP BACnet MS/TP interface
If problems are suspected on an MS/TP bus, the UBR-CAP can be used to virtually listen in on the communication between the field devices. The interface does not register as a master or slave on the fieldbus, but merely forms a branch that has no effect on the MS/TP bus. Inserted into the fieldbus communication, the UBR-CAP records log files that are stored on a Windows computer via the IP interface. These can be opened and viewed using analysis software such as Wireshark. In this way, decentralised MS/TP networks can also be conveniently monitored. In addition, troubleshooting is considerably accelerated.
