Non-contact eddy current measuring principle with built-in linearisation electronic
High abrasion resistant sensor head material
Designed for Kaplan or Francis turbines
Ranges from 0..10mm (RCP types)
High pressure (10 bars) : SPP types
Ranges from 0..4mm (SPP types)
RCP Runner Clearance Probes are used for non-contact clearance measurement of large Francis or Kaplan turbines. The high-performance material used for the probe tip ensures extremely high wear resistance.
The signal processing is integrated in the sensor body. The output voltage is directly proportional to the measuring distance between the metal target and the sensor tip. For environments requiring fully submerged measuring probes, MC-monitoring has developed the Submersible Proximity Probe (SPP).
SPP is an Eddy current proximity probes model used for non-contact measurement of shaft vibration and position.
The high-performance casing probe material allows sealed mounting of the eddy current probe into water or oil lubricated bearing types.
Front and back of the sensor are sealed. This gives a protection rating of IP69 and will resist a pressure up to 10 bars. Beside excellent wear resistance and high dimensional stability, the SPP presents an accuracy of reading better than +/- 2% on measuring range.
The SPP series is available for a measuring ranges of 0..2 mm (SPP-201) or 0..4 mm (SPP-401).
