Mecmesin’s range of single-column bench-top OmniTest universal testing machines (UTMs) is designed for tensile and compression testing of materials, products and components. The OmniTest enables the physical properties of metals, plastics, composites, wood, fabrics, glass and ceramics to be accurately characterised in tension and compression.
The OmniTest 0.5 kN, 1 kN, 2.5 kN, 5 kN and 7.5 kN models are part of the single-column range. They occupy minimal bench space and can be easily transported. The 2.5 kN model is particularly popular as a general-purpose tester whilst the 0.5 and 1kN models have extended column lengths making them particularly suitable for long-elongation, low-force testing.
These versatile universal testing systems are driven by Mecmesin’s powerful and intuitive VectorPro™ testing software, making them easy to use for implementing quality assurance standards across all industries. The PC-driven model has the flexibility to run the test routines on your choice of computer hardware and the OmniTest Touch model runs on a responsive touchscreen console.
VectorPro Software
VectorPro is at the heart of the OmniTest. It is an advanced force testing software package developed to perform tensile, shear, bend and compression tests on materials, components and products. VectorPro enables and stores test routines, acquires data from load sensors and displacement encoders then performs calculations on the data before generating test results for export and reporting.
