kit encoders use the application's shaft for reliable angle measurement: as a single-turn (360°) with analogue, PWM, incremental, or SPI output or as a multi-turn version (up to 72,000°) with analogue output.
The ETx25K encoders are part of the ETx25 family. Common to these encoders is non-contact angle measurement, high reliability, long lifespan and independent linearity of up to ±0.3% for single-turn and ±0.05% @3600° for multi-turn variants. The latter can be programmed by the customer on site.
The compact ETx25K flange housing (Ø25 mm with only 8 mm housing depth) in protection class IP67 is fixed in the application with two M3 screws (not supplied). The magnet (supplied) is positioned in the application opposite the front of the ETx25K housing. There is no mechanical connection between the magnet and the encoder housing, so the encoder can be positioned away from vibration and thermal effects. A circular groove for an optional O-ring is provided on the front of the ETx25K housing. It is used to protect against the ingress of liquid and dust into the customer unit. The O-ring (supplied with option D) is inserted between the mounting plate and the encoder. Electrical connection options such as round or ribbon cable complete the profile. The following electronics are available:
ETA25K analogue singleturn absolute encoder (redundant version ETA25KX):
Supplies an absolute analogue signal with 12-bit resolution. Galvanically isolated and redundant electronics are available for safety critical applications (see ETA25KX series datasheet).
