The medium-sized Cobra joysticks of the 871 series have been specially designed for multi-axis machine control in demanding applications where quality and tactile feel are required. The compact design offers advantages where space is limited and many control functions are required. The design of the joystick can be customized for the application through specific functional configurations with mini-joysticks, rockers, operator presence paddles and buttons above and below the joystick head. Customized handles can be created with up to 3 rockers, giving the joystick up to 5 axes/degrees of freedom. The ergonomic design of the Cobra Knob ensures fatigue-free operation and easy access to additional functions. Using non-contact Hall effect technology, the joysticks are extremely reliable and safe to use even in the harshest conditions. The buttons and rockers of the joystick are wired separately. This allows them to operate at higher voltages and loads than the Hall sensors in the base electronics.
