This is a special, customized device made by Memmert’s m360. This device uses air circulation process to help with dishwasher usability tests. This tailor made device has several advantages. For example, it prevents temperature overshoots as its temperature control and heating power have been adapted to the test parameters stipulated in EN50242/EN60436. Before they are introduced on the market, dishwashers are loaded with dirty place settings and put to the test in order to see how they perform in comparison to a reference dishwasher. This includes standardised pre-drying and drying of the dirty dishes in an air circulation heating oven since, in everyday life, the dishes are not usually washed in the dishwasher immediately after they are placed.
