Real-time assessment of the electric power drained from the contact wire as measured through key electric parameters. It is crucial to acquire these parameters in all environmental conditions to constantly identify the power drained from the contact line. An innovative sensor technology enables the operators to accurately measure the voltage and current used by rolling stock. Voltage and Drained Current The system measures, with a real-time visualization, both voltage provided by the traction power network and of the traction current absorbed. The measuring system acquires electrical parameters in all environment and weather conditions. The measuring system can be installed on any railway vehicle either in an attended or unattended mode. Using onboard software with real-time data analysis, the system can measure both the voltage and the traction current at speeds from 0 up to 320 km/h.
