As early as the 1960s, Mersen was able to master all their PTFE manufacturing processes which included PFA transfer molding, isostatic molding and paste extrusion. PTFE compensators and bellows combine their excellent flexion capabilities with high corrosion resistance. The ARMYLOR compensators and bellows compensate for the thermal expansion that occurs in pipelines.
Each unit has three and five convolutions bellows. It has a full vacuum that can reach up to 180°C and one to 42 compensators and bellows that come with carbon steel flanges or PN10 making them compatible with other connections. They are usually used to absorb vibrations of pumps and other equipment.
They are also used to protect fragile equipment that includes plastic, glass-lined equipment and graphite.
