Description

The Metronor Shipyard Piping Solution was developed for the use in tight spaces with limited accessibility, such as the engine room of a ship. Measure pipes, flanges and connectors of different sizes and shapes in a fast and simple way using the dedicated piping software TeZetCAD. Extra functionalities in this specialized software, like the automatic reports and CAD exports, make handling the data efficient and transparent. This digital workflow ensures a simple and error-free transfer of measurement data to the workshops. MEASURING FLANGES The system interfaces directly with TeZetCAD, the leading software for pipe and flange measurements. It allows the user to recreate circular flanges with as little as 12 points. Non-standard flanges can also be measured easily. CREATING PIPES Create perfectly fitting pipes on site, saving manufacturing time and reducing costs. The task of creating pipes with unknown specifications, for example for replacement pipes or connecting pipes, is now simpler than ever. Or using the “Design Tube Tactile” function in TeZetCAD to generate a virtual pipe by taking points in 3D space while going around obstacles during the measurement. But measuring an existing pipe – in place – is equally easy. This system allows you to generate a CAD representation of the real pipe without having to remove it from its place during the measurement. You simply need to take measurements in specific areas at the end and along the pipe. The data from the measured pipe can then be sent directly to a bending machine and a blueprint for the shop floor can be exported for welding.
