This premium pyroelectric quad detector is tailored for demanding measurement applications for the analysis of nitrogen oxides (NOX) in environments from -20 to 85 °C. The 4 optical filters determine the infrared detection of the following gases: water vapor (H2O) (CWL: 6580 ± 40, HBW: ± 35 nm), nitric oxide (NO) (CWL: 5300 ± 30, HBW: ± 20 nm), sulfur dioxide (SO2) (CWL: 7300 ± 50, HBW: 180 ± 20 nm) and an embedded reference channel (CWL: 5060 ± 25, HBW: 100 ± 15 nm).
The four-channel IR pyrodetector achieves an especially high detectivity of up to 4.0*10^8 cm√Hz/W and sensitivity of up to 200000 V/W. The MPS4SENS NOX provides reliable measurement values in ambient temperatures between -20 and 85 °C, e.g. for industrial gas measurement or process analysis in various industry and manufacturing areas, such as chemical, textile, environmental technology, recycling or exhaust gas technology.
It possesses 4 sensor chips with a ceramic-pyroelectric thin-film membrane at its core. Micro-Hybrid is the only manufacturer of pyroelectric 4-channel detectors with a high performance membrane in a TO39 package. The special Micro-Hybrid product design enables a higher read-out rate up to 100 Hz and short response times for reliable measurement results in NDIR gas analysis. The detector is characterized by a broad spectral response 2 - 15 µm (optimized from 3 - 5 µm), high sensitivity with a modulation frequency up to 100 Hz, a low microphone effect due to the low membrane mass, very low temperature dependence and an amplified signal in current mode.
