This 4 channel detector is tuned to the wavelength of nitrogen oxides with 4 optical filters. The optical filters determine the infrared detection of the following gases: water vapor (H2O) (CWL: 6580 ± 40, HBW: 200 ± 35 nm), nitric oxide (NO) (CWL: 5300 ± 30, HBW: 200 ± 20 nm), sulfur dioxide (SO2) (CWL: 7300 ± 50, HBW: 180 ± 20 nm).
The four-channel IR thermopile for NDIR gas analysis has 4 sensor chips in the core, each with 200 BiSb/Sb thermopairs.
The signal strength of the thermopile detector is comparable to that of a pyrodetector: high detectivity up to 6.27*10^8 cm√Hz/W and high sensitivity up to 171 V/W with the fill gas krypton. The interference absorber, an integrated thermistor for reference temperature determination and the reference channel (CWL: 5060 ± 25, HBW: 100 ± 15 nm) are further important product features for long-term use in demanding applications.
The MTS4SENS200 NOX provides reliable measurement values in ambient temperatures between -20 and 85 °C, e.g. for industrial gas measurement or process analysis in a wide range of industrial and manufacturing sectors, such as chemicals, textiles, environmental technology, recycling or exhaust-gas technology.
