The MTS4SENS44 TEST is your solution for various test applications. It offers narrowband optical filters and allows the following gases to be tested: water vapor (H2O) (CWL: 6580 ± 40, HBW: 200 ± 35 nm), carbon dioxide (CO2) (CWL: 4265 ± 25, HBW: 120 ± 10 nm) and alcoholic compounds (CWL: 9663 ± 80, HBW: 240 ± 40 nm). The precise measurement results are backed up by the reference channel (CWL: 3910 ± 28, HBW: 70 ± 10 nm). The IR thermopile performs well in test setups and teaching at ambient temperatures ranging from -20 to 85 °C.
The detectivity of up to 1.61*10^8 cm√Hz/W and sensitivity of up to 39 V/W come from the synergy of chip design, integrated thermistor for reference temperature determination, a mass absorber and backgassing with krypton. Four sensor chips, each with 44 silicon thermocouples, form the basis of the 4-channel thermopile. The thermal diffusion currents between the different metals in the detector chip generate an electrical voltage, the measuring signal.
