Description

The MicroFLOW CO2 .5000 ppm sensor is suitable for a wide range of demanding applications that require precision and reliability. FIELDS OF APPLICATION With a measurement range of up to 5000 ppm (parts per million), NDIR gas detection remains an extremely accurate method for detecting carbon dioxide in a very wide range of applications in almost all industries. A few examples of these applications are described in more detail in the following sections. Industry: For industrial process monitoring, the 5000 ppm range provides accurate resolution. This is important for applications where minimal fluctuations in CO2 concentration are critical, such as chemical reactions. In addition, NDIR gas analysis in this range allows for more precise control of production processes or applications where even the smallest CO2 emissions can affect product quality. In industrial food processing, this range can be used for more specific needs, such as packaging process control or canned food quality assurance, where lower CO2 concentrations are important. In the controlled ripening of fruit or the production of beverages, finely tuned carbon dioxide monitoring is essential to ensure product quality and shelf life. Biotechnology: Precise measurement of CO2 concentrations in microorganism cultivation, cell culture or fermentation is often required in biotechnology applications. Accurate monitoring enables optimal control of environmental conditions, which in turn can affect the yield and quality of biotech products. The extended measuring range of up to 5000 ppm allows finer gradation and therefore more precise control of these processes.
