The MR610 controller is the evaluation unit for the multipoint temperature measurement system MR610.
The temperature determination of the MR610 is based on the «Raman effect». By using extremely short light pulses, a spatial resolution of approx. 100mm is achieved.
Temperature distributions along a glass fiber determined with the aid of the Raman effect are always used where it is not known in advance at which point a temperature is to be measured.
This measuring method is therefore suitable for temperature monitoring on objects on which weak points are to be detected. You will know the temperature and the location of the weak point after the measurement.
This enables you to repair the weak point and avoid costly consequences.
