Turntables are used to change the transport direction by 90° or other angles. In most cases, however, they rotate a block by 180° in front of the converting machines, so that the stacks run into the machine with the desired side first.
For a lateral infeed, which normally requires a right angle station, there are turntables with right angle station, which also allow the 180° rotation of the stacks with the same assembly group. This saves space and costs.
