Intermediate storages in the engineered wood industry have a major impact on the quality of the products and the workflows within the process chain. Stacks of engineered wood boards mature in the intermediate storage and goods are prepared for further processing.
MINDA offers various intermediate storage concepts, with area storage as well as in-house storage systems, cube systems and high-bay warehouses in its product portfolio.
The intermediate storage as area storage with conveyor widths, which are individually adjusted to your needs, is the classic option. The intermediate storage is divided into several sections in order to sort the goods according to order and format and then feed them to the converting machines. Even a product mix in the intermediate storage is no problem thanks to the overriding MINDA control system. You never have a black box again and retain complete control over your intermediate storage.
Due to the more and more precious need for space, MINDA also supplies a two-level intermediate storage.
Versions of two-level intermediate storages
MINDA offers two different concepts of two-level intermediate storages.
The first one has got a central transfer car that can distribute the stacks to the lower and upper level by lifting. However, this concept must be protected from the outside. The storage area is therefore not accessible, as falling stacks represent a safety risk.
The second concept has transfer cars on both levels and the stacks are conveyed to the second level by means of a lifting station/vertical lift.
Of course, we consider your specific local conditions and will be happy to work out a suitable solution together with you.
