The ImPact wireless system uses the latest Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g technology, is MSHA approved, and beyond simple comms and tracking, the ImPact network provides underground access to things miners often have to do without. Vehicle Intelligence & Proximity Detection (VIP), which provides both vehicle location and a solution for vehicle diagnostics and payload monitoring. Wireless VoIP (MinePhone), which allows users to make phone calls to any other phone, both underground and above ground, offers push to talk functionality, text messaging, and delivers emergency alarms to the user. Personnel & Asset Tracking (WiFi Tags), which can be attached to personnel, mobile equipment and vehicles, and it can also be added to our ICCL cap lamps for added protection against loss or damage. Any other WiFi b/g compatible equipment or any other moving equipment you would like to track. Mines that have our system installed have used this for Gas Monitors, Ventilation Systems, Belts, IP Video, Control Systems, and Ruggedized Laptops. As long as it is WiFi b/g compatible or a moving component within the mine, it can be used and/or tracked on the ImPact system.
