Fasit202 fiber seal threaded metal plugs are made out of brass. They have two breather holes under the hex head that ensure that the airflow capacity is adequate. The KMF model has been equipped with a metal filter inside so as to prevent oil pollution. When venting is necessary due to internal over-pressure in the reservoir, the KMV version is used. The pre-tensioned spring in the valve allows the valve disc to lift from its seat at 0.4 bar, allowing the air to thus escape. The valve closes when the air pressure drops and stops any air from entering the reservoir. It also prevents oil overflow. These plugs are used in gear reducers, gearboxes, bearing housings and transmission of all kinds.
