Description

The MP Series is made for very tight tolerances. It is one of the best Wire-EDM machines based on water. By using a complete body out of a strengthened meehanite-cast, we gain an improved stability. Highest grade linear guides from THK are responsible for less rolling resistance. Furthermore the machine head is included in the cooling system, which enables a better control of the temperature. As a result it is possible to reach even better accuracies compared to the MV series. With a general pitch accuracy of +/- 1 µm, a typical roughness down to Ra 0.05 µm, even an angle precision of +/- 0,01° (36 sec.) and a perfect roundness the MP‘s can be used for the following production areas: • Tools for Micro-Electronics • Finest blanking The MP2400 comes with a fixed table for precision even in the event of high loads. The MP1200 has a split-axis design, with the table movable on the X axis, and the column on the Y axis – proven for maximum precision with medium loads. What was it about conventional drive systems that bothered developers at Mitsubishi Electric? The need for lubrication, the friction and frictional heat, power consumption, backlash, the cogging moment and above all the possible wear. Only a non-contact drive overcomes these drawbacks from the outset and is thus an assurance of better results and enhanced dependability over decades.
