Mitsubishis range of solid carbide end mills includes the Alimaster series, designed specifically for high efficiency milling of aluminium alloys. Development of the range has progressed by using and optimising the micro grain carbide substrate together with the latest ideas in flute and cutting edge geometry. This ideal combination has been proven over time and has enabled Alimaster to gain an advantage in todays ultra competitive aerospace market. The full range includes long and short series end mills for slotting and general milling, 3 flute roughing types available in various flute lengths and a ball nose type to ensure a huge range of applications are covered. The newest addition to the series includes a 2 flute corner radius type Ø3 Ø20. In addition to the regular series, modified standard cutters can be re-engineered for customer specific uses. Typical examples include through coolant and corner radii that match typical components such as wing ribs.
