In a time series analysis, the time-varying data of a system – for example operating temperatures, pressures or operating feedbacks – are recorded and evaluated over a period of time. The goal is to detect and evaluate the state or operation of the system. In the time series analysis of technical plants, the data must first be processed and “normalized”, only then is an evaluation possible. Data gaps must be detected and, if necessary, closed, time grids standardized and time zones adjusted.
