Suprex crucibles are carbon-bonded silicon carbide crucibles, which are characterized by excellent thermal conductivity and high chemical erosion resistance. Based on application and furnace type respective types of Suprex are available.
Suprex® B: Recommended for copper and copper alloys in fuel fired furnaces.
Suprex® R: Recommended for aluminium/aluminium alloys melting and zinc oxide producing in fuel fired furnaces.
Suprex® E: Recommended for aluminium/aluminium alloys and zinc melting and holding in electric resistance furnaces.
