The volumetric continuous flow dispenser (CFD) is a high-precision dispenser based on progressive cavity technology. The CFD was designed to be highly versatile both in material compatibility and usage. It works with low to high viscosity and filled-materials.
The CFDs are available in several volume and flow rate sizes. The rotors, stators and pump housings include a variety of materials to provide mechanical and chemical compatibility with a broad range of products to be dispensed. Furthermore, several motors, controls interfaces and mechanical connections are also available.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
CFDs use progressive cavity technology to provide true volumetric displacement for high precision applications.
The motor directly drives a rotor with one or more helical windings eccentrically within an elastomer stator. The eccentric movement of the rotor creates a series of cavities that push the material through the pump.
The stator’s complex geometry provides consistent displacement at any phase of rotation, so the flow does not pulsate.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
- Potting & honeycomb potting
- Dot & line dispensing
- Glob-top dispensing
- Dripping
- Lubrication
TYPICAL MATERIALS
- Sealants e.g. silicone, MS-polymer, polyurethane
- Adhesive e.g. anaerobic glue, epoxy resin, UV-Acrylate, usw.
