The FlowSwitch FS 710 is a tribo-electric dust monitor and is used to monitor dust filters for damage and filter breakage. The FS 710 monitors the dust concentration behind a bag or cartridge filter. It is installed on the clean air side of the filter. It is very sensitive and responsive and detects at an early stage whether a filter is damaged, e.g. due to cracks, breaks or assembly errors. This means that a defective filter can be replaced in good time without losing production time and without polluting the workplace or the environment. The FS 710 has two relays for pre-alarm and main alarm - a rare feature in this price range. The pre-alarm is triggered by even the slightest damage to the filter, when there is still time to change the filter. The sensor is extremely robust, maintenance-free and designed for a long service life. A special ATEX version is available and can be used up to zone 20/21. Dust monitors are especially important when the air is highly contaminated, when the air is circulated, when emission limits are strict, or when the dust is to be collected and reused.
