Description

The surface treatment nickel plating can certainly be used as an embellishment / decorative layer of a product, but if high demands are made on the product, the smoothness of the base material must be taken into account. Despite the fact that nickel has filling capacity, it is therefore advisable to make the base material completely smooth beforehand by grinding or polishing it. With these pre-treatments an optimal and sleek appearance is obtained without irregularities. We can also provide grinding and / or polishing for you. We realize this effortlessly for you at home, without unnecessary loss of time. We take care of nickel plating or duplex nickel plating in serial productions up to single or specialist pieces. Properties of nickel: Slight yellowish precipitate Good solderability Magnetic coating Good light reflection Apply layer thicknesses of different formats Good corrosion protection Not impact resistant Process Nickel plating and / or nickel is often used by Multinal Group as a base layer for (ornamental) chrome plating, gilding or red copper. The combination of the surface treatment nickel plating and the surface treatments chrome and gold plating reinforce each other. The nickel layer, for example, gives a certain shine to chrome, while the layer of chrome ensures that the product is anti-start, wear-resistant and offers corrosion protection. In addition to being used as a bottom layer, nickel plating can also be used as a decorative layer. Layer thickness With nickel plating, the layer thickness determines whether it is sufficiently corrosion resistant or not.
