The FlowSwitch FS 780 is a tribo-electric dust monitor with numerous adjustment possibilities and is used for monitoring dust filters. The FS 780 monitors the dust concentration behind a bag or cartridge filter. It is installed on the clean air side of the filter. It is very sensitive and responsive; it detects at an early stage whether a filter is damaged, e.g. by cracks, fractures or assembly errors. This means that a defective filter can be replaced in good time without losing production time and without polluting the workplace or the environment. Dust monitors are especially important when the air is highly contaminated, when the air is circulated, when emission limits are strict, or when the dust is to be collected and reused. The FS 780 is the most flexible unit in its class and can be perfectly adapted to the application. It can be equipped with either a relay or an analog output. The length of the probe rod can be selected individually between 45 and 800mm. Optional versions for 130°C, 200°C, 290°C and for ATEX zone 2 and 22 are available.
