Description

The FlowSwitch FS 750 is a tribo-electric dust monitor with analog output and is used to monitor dust filters for damage and filter breakage. The FS 750 monitors the dust concentration behind a bag or cartridge filter. It is installed on the clean air side of the filter. It is very sensitive and responsive; it detects at an early stage whether a filter is damaged, e.g. by cracks, fractures or assembly errors. This means that a defective filter can be replaced in good time without losing production time and without polluting the workplace or the environment. The FS 750 has an analog output with 4-20 mA. This is housed in a separate transmitter. The output is evaluated via the PLC. A pre-alarm is normally generated in order to replace the filters in the event of even the slightest damage. The sensor is extremely robust, maintenance-free and designed for a long service life. A special ATEX version is available and can be used up to zone 20/21. Dust monitors are especially important when the air is highly contaminated, when the air is circulated, when emission limits are strict, or when the dust is to be collected and reused.
