Affilella Wet is a professional wet sharpener, safe, compact, unique in its kind. The steel body of the machine contains the electrical system and a stainless steel front tray for the water, where the grinding wheel is located. The body of the wheel is made of aluminum and coated in CBN: thanks to this super abrasive material, the low rotation speed of the wheel and the cooling caused by the presence of water, sharpening with Affilella Wet does not alter the mechanical characteristics of the blade. The water helps keep the surface of the wheel clean of metal residues produced during sharpening, and prevents overheating by preventing sparks from occurring. All components in contact with the blade and with the water are made of stainless steel, a characteristic that guarantees clean processing and the maintenance of hygienic standards. The corner blocks, (interchangeable and customizable) are placed at the sides of the grinding wheel CBN, and serve as a support in order to obtain the desired angle of sharpening. Two 15° dowels for sharpening knives and a 50° dowel for sharpening scissors are supplied with Affilella Wet, but the reference blocks of any required angle can be purchased separately.
