The AM335X series features the high performance, low power features of the ARM Cortex-A8 core, providing the highest DMIPS at the same cost. It also provides 3D graphics acceleration and integration of key peripherals to meet various application needs. Optional 3D graphics accelerators with performance up to 20 M/tri/s, support for LPDDR1/DDR2/DDR3 memory, and independent PRU subsystems provide additional flexibility in product design. Optional support for Ethercat and Profibus further meets the needs of industrial design.
The MYC-C335X-V4 has integrated the AM335x processor, 512MB DDR3 SDRAM, 512MB Nand Flash and Gigabit Ethernet PHY chip on board and can be served as the core of your embedded system. It has two 2.0mm pitch 60-pin male expansion connectors for interconnecting with your base board, thus providing an interface for the base board to carry most of the I/O signals to and from the SOM, such as two serial ports, four USB Host ports, one USB OTG port, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, one CAN, one RS485, one Micro SD, HDMI, LCD, Touch screen have been carried out by headers and connectors on the base board.
The MYD-C335X-V4 Development Board is built around the TI Sitara AM335x family of ARM Cortex-A8 MPUs, capable of running at speeds up to 1GHz. The base board has been enhanced with a wide range of features and peripherals, leveraging the support of the MYC-C335X-V4 SOM and additional controller chips. These include two serial ports, four USB Host ports, one USB OTG port, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, one CAN interface, one RS485 interface, a Micro SD slot, HDMI output, LCD display support, touch screen functionality and more.
