This Isolated 4-20mA Current Loop Transmitter Board converts I2C Data into a 4-20mA Output using a 12-Bit Digital to Analog converter (DAC). This 1 channel isolated 4-20mA transmitter also has on board isolated power supply which eliminates the need of external power supply. This 1 channel isolated 4-20mA Current Loop Transmitter Board usages an XTR115 4-20mA Current Loop Transmitter connected to a MCP4725 Digital to Analog Converter. This also has a on board buck boost power supply which powers up the 4-20mA loop. The MCP4725 has one address jumper, allowing 2 devices can be connected at the same time on a single I2C bus. Its also possible to connect more than 2 devices on one bus using the I2C multiplexer. The On-board XTR1115 4-20mA Current Loop Transmitter has a wide Loop supply range from 7.5V to 36V.
This 4-20mA current loop transmitter has on-board screw terminals which make it easy to connect. It also has a Vref exposed pad for external voltage reference with a preset Vref of 2.5V.
