The pneumatic autosampler PN150 can stack up to three carousels for a total of 147 samples loaded simultaneously. A line of compressed air drives the movement of the piston that drops the capsule within the combustion reactor.
Before dropping into the reactor, the sample dwells in a conditioning chamber, where a stream of helium ensures the elimination of atmospheric nitrogen introduced during loading. Once dropped in the reactor, the next sample is automatically introduced into the conditioning chamber.
This type of autosampler allows samples to be added continuously while performing the analysis. The autosampler receptacles are 11.5 mm in diameter, so they can easily accommodate large and bulky samples, or samples with low specific gravity (glass fiber filters, soil, leaves, etc.). A large window clearly displays the burning sample within the internal reactor.
