Electrical Switch Locks (ESL)
In many cases there are sequences where a switch is part of the process, for instance with actuators and pump start-up procedures. Turning on the power supply at the wrong time could lead to dangerous incidents, so there must be a control to prevent this.
In order to control a switch, we need to control the ON-OFF knob. A Lock (BLL) is mounted onto the switch housing. The lock pin controls the ON or OFF position. The ESL can be supplied as locked open, locked closed or both.
The lock is mounted without modifying the switch so it will not interfere with any existing EX certification of the switch.
