The Iodair® 600 is a mobile differential pressure device used to apply negative pressure to airlocks for the dynamic containment of sites which could be contaminated. It is equipped with an absolute filter and an iodine absorber.
Use :
- Static/dynamic containment : the Iodair® 600 is used to apply negative pressure to airlocks and ensure the filtering of dispersed pollutants ;
- Direct dynamic containment : connection to a hood: the negative pressure ensures the filtering of dispersed pollutants (valves) ;
- Indirect dynamic containment : connection to a pipe network.
Operation :
- Air flows successively through a “nuclear“-type absolute filter and an activated carbon filter to trap radioactive iodine.
- Negative pressure is applied to the whole assembly by a UNILINE®-type fan.
- The extracted air is heated so that the relative humidity does not exceed 40%. The outlet can be fitted with a swivel connector to enable connection of a flexible duct.
- Replacement of the absolute filter is performed in a vinyl bag to prevent the contaminants from spreading during this procedure.
- The IODAIR® is coated in decontaminable epoxy paint.
