Description

The electrically operated RFB laboratory roasters are identical to the large machines, they feature the same complete equipment such as the RFB roasting and cooling chamber, quenching function and PLC control with user interface. This makes them the ideal machine for developing recipes with small quantities of coffee and for fully exploiting the possibilities of RFB roasting before the recipes are scaled up for large plants. The roasters of the RFB-S and RFB-Junior series are used for small batch sizes from 200 grams up to 5 kg. The integrated PLC with user-friendly touch panel ensures precise roasting according to individually adjustable roasting profiles. The roasting process can be controlled by setting temperature levels as well as roasting times. Software solutions specially designed for the development of roasting profiles, such as SLIDER ROASTING, help the roasting master to optimise the roasting curves. The low heat storage in the roasting chamber, which is typical of the RFB roasting system, allows a quick recipe change and a wide range of temperature curves without affecting the results by mass inertia characteristic of classical roasting systems.
