Nicomatic CMM series 320 LF 90° SMT is a right angle SMT connector having three rows. It is an expansion to the CMM series with additional options. With this expansion, Nicomatic is able to provide the most compact connector in the market. The application of SMT technology poses several challenges in terms of industrialized series production. Nicomatic has already been offering a 2-row connector version for a long time. However, when it comes to application of the 90° SMT technology, there is a significant difference between 2 and 3-row connectors. The difficulties arise as planeity needs to be assured for soldering all contacts on 3 axis and maintaining them in especially narrow tolerances. With the Nicomatic CMM micro-connectors series 320R, up to 120 low frequency contacts (up to 5A) are allowed in a high density insulator providing up to 60% savings in space and weight in comparison to conventional connectors and metal solutions respectively.
