The WSV and WSZ windshifters are the ideal solution for removing light fractions from liberated and densified input materials, with a high separation efficiency of up to 99%.

WSV principle separating process
The windshifter is a combination of a recirculation fan, a separation unit (the actual windshifter), and either a Rotary Air Separator (RAS) or Cyclone. This configuration is individually designed and ideal for any operation, especially in tight spaces and in retrofits. As an alternative to a Rotary Air Separators (RAS) we offer a complete range of Cyclones for fraction sizes from 0-20 mm.The picture below shows the operating principle of the WSV. The shifter unit of the WSV windshifter has a vertical design. In the vertical separation unit, the heavy materials are separated from the light materials.
WSZ principle separating process
The shifter unit of the WSZ windshifter is of a zigzag-type design. In the zigzag separation unit, the heavy materials are separated from the light materials.
Advantages
Ideal solution when the density of the light and heavy waste fractions are close together
The cascade design combined with gravity is splitting the material and the lighter material is transported in the airstream to the e.g. Cyclone
Adjustable separation settings during operation provide superior separation efficiency
Ideal for any operation, but especially in tight spaces and in retrofits. Material is pneumatically conveyed, creating a great deal of flexibility for conveyor placement and duct routing
Versatility to process a wide variety of waste streams
