High Temperature Silicone Rubber Coated Fiberglass Tape is designed to protect hoses, wires and cables from the hazards of high heat and occasional flame. It protects continuously to 500°F/260°C and will withstand a molten splash at 2200°F/1200°C. High Temperature Silicone Rubber Coated Fiberglass Tape made by heavy fiberglass and silicone rubber, standard color is red. Silicone Coated Fiberglass Tape provides the same protection against exposure to extreme heat, open flame, and molten splash as Fire sleeve but in a versatile tape. It is specifically designed to protect components of irregular shape, such as hose spilter assemblies and cable splices. The heavy silicone coating maintains flexibility while resisting all automotive chemicals and solvents, and providing an increased level of abrasion protection.
