Tough, durable and very versatile
Our heavy weight 96 OZ Silicone Coated Fiberglass Blanket (3260 g/m2) is constructed from a glass fiber base fabric, coated one side only with a very thick layer of specially compounded silicone rubber that sheds molten splash almost instantly, before heat transfer can occur.
High temperature, heat and flame resistant 96 OZ Silicone Coated Fiberglass Fabric is the perfect choice for protecting a variety of hoses, lines, wires, cables and equipment assemblies such as electronic enclosures, valves, robotic arm and elbow protection, etc., from exposure to high and extreme heat conditions.
Withstands contaminants, high heat and flame
The silicone rubber coating is completely impervious to water, moisture, hydraulic oils. When exposed to high temperatures or molten splash for extended periods, the coating transforms into a silica refractory crust.
The special formulation of silicone rubber on this fabric sheds molten metals, slag, welding splatter, electrical or grinding sparks and contamination. This fireblanket also provides protection from ozone, UV and abrasion.
It can be supplied in short cut lengths, customs shapes, or as fabricated curtains with grommets.
96 OZ Silicone Coated Fiberglass Fabric withstands 500°F/260°C continuous exposure; Molten Splash at 2200°F/1205°C for periods up to 15 minutes and short excursions to 3000°F/1650°C.
