Description

Silica Welding Blanket is heat resistant material widely used as blankets for protecting materials and equipment in welding areas from sparks and molten spatter. Silica dioxide material will take up to 1800°F on a horizontal plane. Silica Welding Blanket is comprised of high purity, high strength 96% silica fibers, with a continuous operating temperature of 1800° F / 982°C. With excellent thermal insulation and acoustic properties, Silica Welding Blanket maintain their flexibility and strength during use, and are optimal in applications where E-glass fabrics would typically fail. Used widely in industries such as Welding, Shipbuilding, Metals Processing, Refineries, Foundries, Power Generation, and Petrochemical, Silica Welding Blanket can be applied to applications where thermal insulation is essential to the reduction of maintenance and energy costs.
