Type BA Series bevel gear operators are directly mounted on gate and globe valves which receive the thrust loads. This results in easy manual opening and closing of the valves. Type BA also may be mounted onto existing valves with the use of an adaptor. The unit is of compact design with integral thrust bearings. With its high cost performance, hundred thousands of BA operate in industrial fields such as water and waste water works, dams, power stations etc. The unit is of enclosed construction, filled with high pressure grease and ready for immediate use. The unit consists of ball bearings design and has an efficiency in excess of 90%. The unit results in easy valve operation and has a hammerblow device. (Except BA-4) The stem nut is driven by involute splines. The stem nut may be easily removed from the unit for machining the threads. All sizes BA Series are acceptable local position indicator (MDPI) and limit switches for remote indication. The units may be motorized by replacing the handwheel with an SMB, JMB or L120 type actuators through the use of an adapter. The handwheel, stem cover, and stem plug are all optional equipment. Dual input shafts in 90°apart type is also available for various kinds of application.
