The Nippon Pulse PCL61x3 series controller chips provide users looking for increased operational control a low-cost option. Serving general motion control applications, the PCL61x3 chips are designed to control servo or stepper motors, reduce burden on the CPU, and allow engineers to design complex motion profiles. With a maximum output pulse rate of 15Mpps, the PCL61x3 series chips are compatible with high-resolution linear motors such as Nippon Pulse’s Linear Shaft Motor. In addition, the PCL61x3 series have built-in preregisters, two up/down counters per axis, linear interpolation function, and servomotor interface.
