Up to now, the drying phase in the water printing process was performed without any control on the air recirculation, this translates in a huge energy waste to warm up and push fresh air in the ovens.
Nira developed a new type of analyzer, based on the humidity monitoring and studied to be interlocked with the air recirculation systems in ovens and dryers, in order to reduce the air in discharge from the presses and the energy costs coming from the fresh air pre-heating.
A special "hybrid" version is available for the presses designed to be used with both VOCs and water inks. In this layout, an integrated infrared LEL monitoring system continuously checks the stream coming from the oven, ensuring the plant safety and able to automatically bypass the humidity sensor if VOC solvents are detected (which are harmful for it).
Acquarius6000 is the first patented humidity monitoring system for ovens, dryers and ducts in flexible packaging.
Usable for Intrinsically Safe Applications, his humidity/temperature transmitter has been designed specifically for measurement in explosion hazard areas. It complies with the classifications for Europe (ATEX), International (IECEx) and USA/Canada(FM).
Runs accurate measurement over the full range of 0…100 %RH and -40…180°C.
Can be used in flammable gas applications, ensuring reliable measurement performances and long term stability.
The measured values are available on a 4…20mA analog output.
The sampling system is composed by an isokinetic probe with a fritted mechanical filter and an ejector device (maintenance free).
