The Nordson EFD Backpack™ Valve Actuator is a small, quick acting solenoid that gives a quicker valve reaction time and diminishes the likelihood of varieties in shot size because of a fluctuating plant air supply or diverse air transport lengths. The product features new solenoid technology which mounts the solenoid to open or close valve directly on the air cylinder, not on separate fixture. The valves is two to three times faster and the actuation speed is at five to six milliseconds, and cycle rates is as high as 800 per minute and exceeds 60 - 80 Hz. With the increased speed it valve actuation, it is possible to create the needed fluid deposits for manufacturing of advanced products.
